EFFECT:

Tree playing cards are freely displayed, front and back. Then while holding two cards in one hand, the third card is slid lengthwise between the two cards so that some of the card is protruding from both sides.

Now the performer shows the audience both sides of this three-card sandwich to prove beyond a shadow of  a doubt that the middle card is locked between the two outer cards. To further prove this, the performer now slides the top card to the right and you can plainly see the middle card is in between the outer cards. But when he slides the top card the other way or to the left, the middle card appears to have magically moved behind the outer cards, or to the bottom of the three-card packet..........AMAZING!!!
