Your are bidding on one of my favorite photographs I've bought in the past two years. This is an anonymous 10" x 8" (25.40 x 20.32 cm) printing out photograph circa 1890's, of two young men posed behind a working model of a steam locomotive. You can see in the base there are two rollers underneath the main wheels of the train to allow them to turn. Plenty of other details like construction and finish are clearly visible. Housed in a period wood frame with gesso details. There is some loss to the frames finish. More so along the edges rather than the decorative parts. The photo is mounted on linen. It has a class photograph used as a liner to protect it from the backing board. I took the photograph/s out of the frame to clean the cover glass and discovered the class photo. I have put the photograph back into the frame, just as it was with the class photo hidden behind. As you can see there is some light soiling along the periphery of the photograph, that is hidden by the frame. The photo has very rich tones and sharp detail.

Please note all world wide customers, the postage changed in the USA on 5/14/2007.  Surface Mail is no longer available. Only Global Priority and Global Express. Also the postage went up significantly. I can no longer offer a fixed postage price anymore. All packages will have to be prepared, addressed, weighed, and calculated before you can send payment. This will add an extra day or two to the checkout process. If you win a lot. Please email immediately your correct mailing address so I can figure out what your postage will be, so I can invoice you. You can try emailing me your mailing address before an auction closes to request an estimate of shipping, but I cannot guarantee that I will be able to respond right away. Thank you for your continued business.
