It was created for use in a theatre to promote the engagement of this Motion Picture in 1969!******************************************* This approx. 40 x 60" Movie Item :THE GREEN SLIME ~ U.S. RELEASE POSTER NSS# 69/144 ~ M-G-M ~ 1969This terrific RARE-SIZE / RARELY-OFFERED Original Sci-Fi Poster is in Very Good condition. It has always been ROLLED / never folded. With overall light edge and surface wear and signs of handling ; staple holes in all four corners, the right and left center edge, and at the top and bottom center edge ; a thin vertical line of overprinting, approx. 1/2" in from the left (white) edge runs along the entire length of the left white edge ; a light, approx. 6" horizontal crease in the center black area between the space girl and the monster ; an approx. 8" angled crease at the bottom left corner (outside of artwork) ; several small spots / foxing in roughly a 3" area at the bottom left in the yellow / green area above the "G" in the title and a few below this in the white area ; several water stains on the back of the poster do not translate to the front except in very minor instances but noticible at the bottom left white edge corner and at a few sparse and random points at the edges with some minor warping at the bottom left area.Stored out-of-sunlight since the 60s, the colors are vivid and unfaded and the images sharp and clear. It is printed on extra-heavy flat poster stock. The FANTASTIC 50s-style SCIENCE FICTION ARTWORK pictures sexy heroine LUCIANA PALUZZI ("Thunderball") - in a tight silver SPACESUIT and a nearly-invisible helmet - who poses BARBARELLA -like in Mid-Space in the grasp of a GREEN SLIME's oozing tentacle. Floating ASTRONAUTS fire rocket guns at the largest SLIME, who's resting on a wagon-wheel SATELLITE SPACE STATION that is partially on fire. Several more SLIMES attack the station and ooze all over it while frightened crew members watch from portal / windows. The EARTH and a MISSILE with firely exhaust are seen in the distance. At the top, the movie's weeks-long teaser ad campaign ("The GREEN SLIME ARE COMING!") has been 'altered' to "The GREEN SLIME ARE HERE!". With a cool, stylized title logo and a nice, clean look with no cast or tech credits.The film also stars ROBERT HORTON , RICHARD JAECKEL and BUD WIDOM . Directed by KINJI FUKASAKU (All uncredited on the poster)Text On The Poster Reads :" THE GREEN SLIME ARE HERE!" and " INVADERS FROM BEYOND THE STARS! " The accompanying photo shows this actual item.
