This auction is for a wonderful, old cast iron "ball hinged" number 8 waffle iron made by Griswold Mfg in Erie, Pa in 1922.  The auction includes three seperate pieces.  The two irons have a patent number 151.  The matching base is patent number 152.  The diameter of the iron is 7 3/4".  The 6" coil handles are detachable.  The outside diameter of the base is 10".  All three pieces are fully seasoned and in mint condition, (no cracks, pitting or rust).  These pieces have obviously been well cared for and should be considered a rare American treasure!
