A charming small original painting on wood of Ganesh, the popular Hindu elephant deity.  Amazing detail, painted with a tiny paintbrush. Created by a thangka painter in Nepal, this painting measures 8 1/4 inches tall x 5 3/8 inches across and 1/4 inch thick. Fabric has been adhered to the wood and painted on, to give the feel of a painting on canvas. Traditional thangka-painting techniques and iconography have been used. It has been "antiqued", but it is not old. Comes with a hanging hook. We have more paintings on wood in our eBay store.
