Item is 1 top quality garage door Right Hand Wound .234 x 2 x 26 Torsion Spring. You will receive 1 Right Hand Wound spring (see diagram below). The spring comes complete and ready to install with a pre-installed winding cone in one end and a stationary cone in the other. Also included is a pair of Free Winding Bars.

  • Wire Size: .234"
  • Inside Diameter: 2"

  • Set Screws: 5/16" coarse thread
  • Spring Rating: 10,000 cycles

Winding Bar Measurements:

Some Helpful Information:

The size of a garage door's springs is crucial to achieve a well balanced door. We recommend replacing your springs with the correct size for that door. Please email us with any questions.

To determine the wire size, carefully count 20 coils on your spring. Then measure the 20 coils with a tape measure to the nearest 1/8". Then divide this measurement by 20. Always measure an unwound spring. Measuring a wound spring will give you false data. Standard wire sizes on residential doors are .207, .218, .225, .234, .243 & .250

To determine the inside diameter, measure the outside diameter of the unwound spring then subtract the wire size twice. Standard inside diameters for springs on residential doors are 1 19/32" (Crawford), 1 3/4", 2" & 2 1/4".

To determine the length, always measure a torsion spring in the unwound state. Measure the coils only. Do not include the cones.
