From 1989 – 2000 I had a record shop in Bridgeport CT called Secret Sounds. Perhaps best known by Dave Grohl's wearing of my t-shirt on the cover of the Muddy Wishkah live album from Nirvana. We specialized in "alternative" music and imported many thousands of records and cds from Europe and Japan. Along came the internet and our mail order business exploded. After all the chains came on line with their preferential early info and treatment from major labels, our mail order business dwindled as quickly as it had grown. Coupled with the downloading of music and seeing a lot of my college age customers having the new releases burned off the internet weeks before the official release, I decided to close the shop. I placed all of my remaining inventory in a climate controlled storage space... a virtual time capsule of a 1990's indie shop a la Hi Fidelity.  Now I am moving forward on selling off this inventory which has been resting comfortably these last 7 years. I have thousands of records, 12”, 7”, 10”, Cd’s, videos, toys, stickers, and posters.  Many are on small labels which had limited release. All my inventory dates from the last century!      I am extremely careful in my shipping and packing. I use very sturdy cardboard mailers and LP size stiffeners. Most records shipped from overseas arrive without shrinkwrap and I placed them in pvc sleeves. For these records I will remove the records from the covers WITH EXTREME CARE handling only by edges and place in another pvc sleeve, this eliminates any possibility of cover splits in shipping. For factory sealed records I do not offer this option. Sealed records will be shipped as is in same strong mailers. I do not have a shrinkwrap machine and all records marked as SS are truly brand new unplayed and factory sealed. I strongly urge you to take the optional insurance (where available) as all new vinyl sales are one way sales. Any damage in shipping will be covered by your insurance.

     I will combine shipping for multiple items wherever possible. The weights included in the listing are for item with the mailer. The mailer weighs approx 7 oz. So you can take 7 oz off the weight of each additional item to calculate the total weight of your shipment and get the pricing for postage at www usps dot gov and add $2 for the strong mailer.
