Garelli Moped Part Number: Unknown. It is either 205051.3.111 if its a 20-25mph version of the cylinder or 205001.3.111 if its a 30mph version of the cylinder.) This part is from a 1976 Garelli Eureka Flex Deluxe Moped with an odometer reading of 2,346.7 miles and is one of my Garelli moped parts for sale. The 1976 Garelli moped started and idled and the headlights and taillights worked. The rear CEV turn signals just barely worked a little at engine idle speed. The Garelli moped engine had good compression, 120psi, but a broken clutch. The moped was in good mechanical shape, with surprisingly little rust, and was relatively easy to disassemble. Product description: Garelli Moped Cylinder with Radial Fins. Speed rating is unknown. According to the frame number, the stock engine cylinder would be 25mph. But the engine cylinder inside bottom has a red dot, a special marking for a fast engine cylinder. Includes 1 small gasket for the manifold or intake valve from the carburetor. The engine cylinder is 40mm wide and approx. 85mm long. The air engine intake valve opening is an oval approx. 10mm x 17mm wide. The engine cylinder inside bottom has a red dot, a special marking for a fast engine cylinder. It is either a 25mph or 30mph engine cylinder. Product installation: A reasonably skilled, careful, patient, and persistent home mechanic can probably properly install this part. Read these 4 steps to see if you think this is within your skill and effort level. 1. Remove the cylinder cover or cylinder head. That's easy. 2. Remove the cylinder gasket. That's easy. 3. Remove the cylinder. Pull against the cylinder and, if necessary, lightly hammer against a screwdriver or bar placed lengthwise against the cylinder (at a 90 degree angle from the hammer) to break the seal between the cylinder and the cylinder gasket. 4. To install the piston and rings, reverse the above steps. Caution. Inserting the piston and rings into the cylinder is the key task to do right. I'm not skilled at doing or describing this task. 2nd caution: Make sure you have a good undamaged cylinder gasket and a 100% airtight seal between the cylinder and the cylinder gasket. Note: Here are detailed instructions for removing the cylinder cover. Use a thin 11mm deep socket or 11mm socket and socket extender bar to unscrew the 4 bolts that hold the cylinder cover or cylinder head in place. If you don't have deep sockets you will probably need to use a 1/4" or 3/8" extender bar between the 1/4" or 3/8" ratchet drive and a thin 1/4" or 3/8" 11mm socket. According to the Dempsey Moped Repair Manual (available online), when you remove and reinstall the bolts holding it in place, be sure to do so in a gradual, balanced fashion, proceeding diagonally from bolt to bolt, and loosening/tightening each bolt the same amount a little at a time. (I'm guessing this is to keep the piston and cylinder and connecting rod perfectly balanced.) If you use a torque wrench for reinstallation keep the bolts all lightly torqued to the same level. (I don't know the recommended torque, but Tomos recommends a light 12Nm torque for their cylinder cover.) Also remember that there is a cylinder head gasket that goes between the cylinder head and the cylinder. Also remember that the probably M7 mounting bolts each have 1 probably M7 washer per bolt in addition to the probably 11mm probably M7 nut. Also remember to insert the cylinder cover or cylinder head right side up. I presume the spark plug should tilt up when its inserted from the outside into the spark plug thread hole. Product Condition: Used. The engine had excellent 120psi compression, so this Garelli engine cylinder is presumed working. Inside of the cylinder bore where the piston fits is smooth. Outside of the cylinder is dirty and could use cleaning, although this won't affect engine performance as long as the cylinder bore is perfectly clean when installed. Engine cylinder speed is unknown, probably either 25mph or 30mph. Sold "as is". Moped Junkyard Part Number(s): GM-102A, Garelli Radial Cylinder. (Moped junkyard isn't distinguishing between the 20-25mph and 30mph versions of the Garelli engine cylinder.) This is for comparison only, so you know the exact part for sale. The seller is EdsSurplus, not the moped junkyard. Garelli moped diagram part number: 4. ![]() Garelli Moped Info: Garelli moped info is available here.
