As you can see, this dresser offers plenty of storage space! Even the sides look great! The top of this dresser looks great.
Here you can see more closely the satinwood inlays and stress marks that the piece has accumulated over the years. The piece has sustained some minor surface wear consistent with two centuries of aging. The base has sustained none of the structural wear that affects many dressers of lesser quality.
Each drawer features hand-cut dovetailed joints. Shown here is the back.
     This beautiful mahogany "caddie chest" dresser was hand-crafted in Georgian England around 1820. Over the years, the wood has developed a lovely patina that enriches the mahogany's distinct, wispy grain and lustrous complexion. Elegant satinwood inlays form a wonderful complement to the mahogany, while the knobs, splayed feet and shaped skirt look fantastic. A classic two-over-three drawer design provides a generous amount of storage space, while each drawer features hand-cut dovetailed joints. This piece remains in great condition, with only minor surface wear consistent with the piece's age (pictured below).
