• Here for auction is this very attractive and ornate Silverplate and cut glass Claret jug. 
• It has an elaborate handle with a grotesque face, and mechanized lever to tilt the lid. 
• The body is cut glass, cut with many panels and notched
• It also has a silverplate base. 
• It is apparently unmarked. I could not find a maker's mark on the silver or the cut glass.
• From the style, I believe it is German from around the turn of the Century, but was unable to confirm.         

Measurements: 

• approx. 16" tall to the top of the lid finial.
• approx. 5 1/8" in diameter at the base.  

Condition: 

• Very Good Condition
• Silverplate is free of scratches, and intact without wear.
• The crystal is a little cloudy at the bottom from use, but not chipped or cracked.
• Interesting Older Claret Jug
