About This Piece:

This dog is painted on a 8x10 primed flat canvas panel. The best quality Grumbacher oils were ued to create this. The painting seems to have picked up some glare from being photographed in the light. The dark points on the dog are black, highlighted with white streaks detailing the fur. This painting is ready to frame and would make an excellent decorative item. It will come varnished, and signed and dated by me, Janelle Dixon. The winning bidder will be emailed an electronic ESBSQ certificate of authenticity.

About the Artist:

Currently, I am an artist working out of my own home. I raise rabbits, and pigeons, and have several other pets.

I can paint commissioned pet portraits upon request (see ebay store, or EBSQ profile for more details). I have shown my art all over my county in the past, including our county fair. I also show at the St. Joe County, and hillsdale county fairs every year.

A lot of my work is painted to compete and show. I have won several best in shows, and honorable mentions from showing at the county fairs.

My art has been sold to, and collected in other counties as well as the US.

I am also a member of the Branch County art guild, a large group of artists in the southern part of Michigan that is dedicated to showing and promoting original works of art. I have exhibited my art through them at the tibbitts opera house, and various other locations in the past. Our group even painted a mural in downtown Coldwater MI, of which I was very actively involved in.

I am also EBSQ certifified and participate in alot of their online art shows.

Each of my paintings comes with its own EBSQ certificate of authenticity, signed by me.
