Methods, Insurance, and Combined
Shipping:
Methods of Shipping: I ship mostly via priority mail, but am
not opposed to using parcel post or UPS. Parcel post mail may take some time to
get to you especially if you are on the West Coast. I charge the postage costs
plus a small fee for bubblewrap and packaging peanuts. (packing fee amount is
listed at the bottom of the auction page under shipping Instructions.)
Insurance: Many of my items are fragile and although I pack
extremely well, sometimes breakage does occur...so insurance is required on
breakables. I may choose to waive required insurance on a breakable item if the
cost is under $10. This will be considered on a auction by auction basis.
Should a claim
need to be filed, I will forward claim form and insurance slip to the buyer so
the claim can be placed at the same time the damaged item is turned in at the
PO. Buyer will be reimbursed through postal service.
Combined Shipping: I do combine auctions to save you money on
shipping. To receive combined/reduced shipping rates, wait and make only one
payment after I send a combined invoice. If you do not read these terms, do not
wait for a combined invoice, and make more than one paypal payment, I will not
be able to honor reduced costs for shipping. I do reserve the right to package
together when
feasible.
Methods of
Payment
I
will accept Paypal or Money Order. International buyers - payment via
Postal Money order. NO PERSONAL CHECKS. I ship on a daily
basis Monday-Friday with few exceptions. Sometimes I can make it to the
PO on Saturdays, but most times that is a shopping day for me. Payment
is expected within 7 days of the auction ending.
Feedback
Policy
Feedback is an important part of the ebay community.
Although I am happy for promptness with payment, I believe a buyer's
responsibility does not end with payment. Communication is most important to me
and is considered as part of feedback that I give to buyers.
I give feedback once
an item is received by the buyer, NOT immediately after payment. Although I
don't anticipate problems with an auction item, should one occur, I would
like to be notified personally so I can promptly attend and work with the
buyer to correct any issues. If a buyer will not give me any chance to resolve
issues, I will reflect that in feedback that I give to the buyer.
My
Expertise
Please keep in mind
I don't consider myself an expert. I do have knowledge in several areas, but
still am apt to pick something up if it catches my eye even if I don't know a
thing about it. Sometimes in my treasure hunting, I know I find things that you
know more about than I do. Any information you have on an item and are willing
to share is much appreciated. I do try to research items before listing but
sometimes information is limited, so I am so pleased to receive an email from a
friendly person sharing their knowledge.
Many of my items are
vintage, collectibles, and items no longer available on the retail market. If an
item is new, I will state that in the auction, otherwise items are not new. I
also would never intentionally try to misrepresent any of my items, but I am
human and if I make a mistake, please know it is just that...a mistake.
Return
Policy
Returns are
certainly considered and will be handled on an individual basis. Buyer is
responsible for return postage and original postage costs are non refundable
unless it is determined/proven that there was an error in the auction. Refunds
are not given unless and until same item sent is
returned.
