Gibson SG Special Electric Guitar Early 1960's Vintage

by far , the best playing and sounding sg we have had in a long time!

This guitar has a beautiful cherry red mahogany body, two P-90 pickups, with non original bad ass style bridge.   

The binding along the fretboard and the tuning keys are beautifully aged to a rich amber hue.

The front of the body has an exquisitely checked finished, with lovely deep cherry red wood grain.

This is the real deal at a great price: a killer vintage rock and blues guitar without the high collector price!

The P-90 pickups scream and sing. Roll off the volume and the guitar cleans up for a ballsy, chunky rhythm tone.

Gibson called it "the fastest neck in the world", slim and trim, 1 9/16" wide at the nut. Super comfortable, this guitar will unleash the beast!

HERE ARE THE ISSUES:

Has a repaired neck heel and neck reset .repair is solid but with a sloppy looking glue joint and the guitar plays great w/ low action.

Guitar also has changed tuners, bridge,pickguard,jack & removed serial number. Otherwise the rest apears all original.

The front of the body has some normal wear and tear and some scratches.

The back of the body has some scratches and  checking.  

The neck has moderate wear on the back and some pits but it is very comfortable and plays super smooth.

the frets are original and show very little wear.

The neck is straight and sets up great with a vicious low action.

The neck is rosewood and has pearl inlays.  

This vintage Gibson SG with P-90's has a sonic signature that is unsurpassed: a crisp, chunky scream!

This model Gibson SG Special is the guitar that Tony Iommi used during the best years of Black Sabbath!

This is Pete Townshend's guitar of choice in The Who!

The serial # on this guitar has been taken off. we got it that way.See Pictures please.
