This neck is probably 40 years old plus. Pictures say it all. Neck came out of SC and off of a Gibson pre-war conversion. Highly flamed maple. Spikes at 5,7,9, and 10th fret. The neck plays great and has very good feel to it with a slim profile. Made of Curly Maple and displays the "Wreath" pattern inlay on ebony. Neck measures at the nut 1.25 inches or 1 and 1/4. At the 22nd fret 1 and 13/16th inch. Approx. 3/4 inches thick at the nut. Heel of neck to bottom heel plate measures 2 and 1/2 inches. Heel is multi layered or capped with ebony, white spruce and ebony. Made some years ago by Roger Siminoff but have no concrete proof of who made it. You can tell that this neck is a quality neck. The ends of the fret edges need to be dressed and polished other than that they are in great shape with the usual fret wear 1 through 5. Still plenty of years left in these frets. The 5th string peg hole is a little sloppy but works just fine. This neck is cut for a One Piece Flange. Great neck for a Prewar Gibson Banjo conversion. This is a straight neck. This neck is not twisted or warped. 5th string nut is a spike. Ebony fret board. Excellent inlay with lots of color. Working one way truss rod. Great USA made banjo neck. $20 UPS ground shipping. US lower 48 States only. I make no guarantee that it will fit your pot assymbly. Although it did fit my Tony Pass TS 500 Rim, in addition to a Cox rim. Neck is cut for a single flange. 3 business day return if not completely satisfied. Neck must remain unaltered. Please notify me by Ebay email that you will be returning this banjo neck within those three days so I can arrange delivery or pickup. Return UPS Ground or USP Priority and insure for selling price.
