Giesen & Forsthoff Display Knife 1950s Ebony MASSIVE NR

This knife for auction is a huge 1950s period Giesen & Forsthoff Advertising Display knife.  This massive folding Lockback knife was made in the 1950s.  The knife itself measures 13" closed and 20 1/2" overall.  The knife has Genuine fancy solid brass bolsters and exotic Ebony wood handles.  The handles are pinned on with genuine brass pins and the shield is a piece of Genuine Pearl, also pinned on by brass pins.  The knife blade is high polished and and is tang stamped Giesen & Forsthoff Solingen Germany and 006 on the rear tang.

This is a huge knife that weighs in at almost 8 lbs!!!  The knife has never been carried LOL, or used.  It is a neat piece probably to display in a hardawre store.  The knife comes in the original gift box.  Included in this auction is a Certificate telling some history of the Giesen & Forsthoff name.
