A WINJR_LESNEY AUCTION
1965 Gilbert
JAMES BOND 007 ASTON MARTIN

This is the original 1965 James Bond 007 Aston Martin battery operated toy, made in Japan, basically in mint condition, and with it's original excellent condition box. Included is the original hang tag. The toy operates perfectly -- turn the switch, and the car rolls forward, stops, the bullet-proof shield rises, the bumper extends, and the machine guns fire. Then these features retract, and the car begins to roll again, and the process repeats. Additionally, the license plate revolves, and the passenger is ejected through the roof when the ejection lever is pulled.
The box is in excellent condition, exhibits only a bit of wear. There's one tear on cover, (on the side panel), some light pencil marking on the front panel, and some magic marker on a side panel. No creases, though, and no stains, and includes the original styrofoam inserts.
I needed to make one minor modification -- the ejector seat man had a notched plastic post that pushes down through the seat and latches onto the ejector mechanism. Even though this toy shows almost no signs of play-time, the plastic post had become stripped, and would no longer allow the man to stay locked into the spring mechanism. So, I replaced the plastic post with a metal post, and now the man stays in place. Yay!
Good luck, and if you have any questions, just email me!
