One of the few genuine Swiss “manufacturers,” Girard Perregaux has supplied leading Swiss brands such as Cartier, Vacheron Constantin, Piaget and Ebel with its thin calibers 3000 and 3100. When making their own watches the company often uses their own calibers though they will also use a painstakingly reworked A. Schild or ETA movement. Girard-Perregaux has proven themselves to be a master of some of the very best technically demanding timepieces in the world.
It is always very special and likely to produce something truly extraordinary when two companies, each outstanding in their own right, collaborate to produce pieces together. Here, it is hard to imagine two finer companies coming together, Girard Perregaux and Ferrari. One does not have to be a car lover to appreciate the jaw-dropping beauty of a Ferrari sports car, or to notice the overall excellence in a Girard Perregaux timepiece, but the limited edition timepieces they have produced together cannot be denied as top of the line in every way. Just like the cars and the watches, the design and performance simply can't be beat.
The featured watch is a Girard Perregaux Evo 3 Laureato Ferrari F 2004 GMT Chronograph housed a big 44mm Brushed Titanium Case. It comes on a Brown GP Alligator Strap with a GP Deployment Buckle. The Black Carbon Fiber Dial has beautiful Applied Luminous Hour Markers, Hour and Minute Hands at Center, a Center Chronograph Seconds Hand in Bright Ferrari Yellow, a Center Minutes Counter (including partial minutes) with a Red Arrow Tip, 3 Chronograph Subdials at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, and a Date Display Subdial at 12 o'clock. The colors of the Dial are PERFECT, they are easy to read and make a bold statement! It is equipped with a GP manufacture-made Automatic Chronograph Movement, a 46-Hour Power Reserve, Sapphire Crystals, Exhibition Caseback with Ferrari Logo, Screw-Down Crown and Pushers, and Water Resistance to 100 meters. It is one of a Sold Out LImited Edition of only 249 pieces Worldwide!!! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!
Personal Note---This is a great watch which was made in tribute to an amazing sports car. I am a Ferrari lover, so I really love it. But, there is another thing that makes it even more interesting as a collector, and more rare, which is that, sadly, the partnership between Girard Perregaux and Ferrari has since ended, and these limited editions are the only ones left from their collaborative efforts. I love the watches that they made together, they are some of my favorite GPs and I will always treasure the ones I have kept in my personal collection. EXCEPTIONAL!!!

That being said, many people are apprehensive to buy an expensive item on Ebay and, on the Internet in general. What if something goes wrong? PLEASE be careful & know who you are buying from.
