This is a 53.6 gram etched FULL slice of the Glorieta meteorite. VERY nice and BRIGHT. It has been etched to show the widmanstatten pattern. Each type of meteorite has its own pattern, although some are very similar. A sliced piece is a great addition to a collection if you have a whole piece of Glorieta to show it next to. When a meteorite is cut and etched you will lose about 35% of the original weight of the meteorite. Not to mention the work and expensive tools. Glorieta was first found in 1884 and is a stony iron, pallasite.
AWSOME ETCH!
WOW! Now that is an etch!
95 mm X 63 mm Etched Glorieta is very hard to find! Way better than the picture!
