This auction is for a Balinese or Nepalese Buddha icon. This Buddha is sitting in the meditation position on a lotus pedestal. He is holding something in his left hand, a symbolic offering or relic, perhaps a bodhi seed, symbol of enlightenment and nirvana. The pedestal is draped with cloth and has two elephants holding it up. This buddha is hand cast plaster and painted with gold metallic paint. This measures 3 inches tall by 2 1/8 inches wide. It can stand alone on its base. It also has a flat back which would allow it to be attached to another flat surface. A perfect addition to your home altar or Buddhism collection. It is in good condition with only minor scuffs and casting variations. Add some Zen to the Feng Shui in your home. 710 Million Buddhists can't be wrong!
