"Golden Moments - A Collection of United States Commemorative Olympic Issues" - Hardcover w/DJ (Oversized 12-3/4 x 11-3/8) - Published in 1984 by the U.S. Postal Service - 78 pages (with outstanding color artwork on heavy stock by Robert Peak) - book is in NEAR MINT condition; DJ is very good (this book does NOT include the 1984 U.S. Olympic commemorative stamps and envelopes). This great book combines two passions: the Olumpic Games and stamp collecting. It was published in conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service's release of the 1984 Summer Olympic commemorative issues. In addition to showing all of the 1984 releases, this great book also shows stamps issued for previous Olympic Games by the USA and other countries. The main attraction in this book is the great artwork by Robert Peak. You will love the full page renderings of such Olympic icons as Jim Thorpe, Jesse, Owens, Vasily Alexeyev, Perry O'Brien, Nicolai Andrianov, Debbie Meyer, Edwin Moses, Nadia Comaneci, Sugar Ray Leonard, Dick Fosbury, Al Oerter, Klaus Dibiasi, Torvill and Dean, and others. There is a rough spot (1" x 1/2") on the left side of the top of the front cover but this book is still in great condition. No collection of books on the Olympic Games is complete with out this one.
