When it hit the CBS airwaves in 1974, GOOD TIMES had some humble beginnings to overcome: it was spun-off from a topical TV heavyweight which was, in turn, a spin-off of a sitcom that cast an even larger shadow. Fortunately, it didn't take long for the show to emerge as its own entity. The series follows the trials and tribulations of Florida Evans (who was previously a maid on MAUDE after Maude broke off from her own ALL IN THE FAMILY relatives) and her close-knit household on the south side of Chicago. Florida (Esther Rolle) and her husband James (John Amos) are lower-middle class African-Americans living in a high rise housing project with their three children: Thelma (Ja'Net DuBois); Michael (Ralph Carter); and the wisecracking J.J. (Jimmy Walker), whose "Dy-No-Mite" would become a national catchphrase. While James may sometimes have trouble finding steady work, through it all, the family sticks together. Veering between comedy and drama in its refusal to shy away from social issues, GOOD TIMES is a landmark in American television. This box set includes all 6 seasons and 133 episodes of the entire series.

A spin-off of MAUDE, which was itself a spin-off of ALL IN THE FAMILY, GOOD TIMES first aired in February 1974 and viewers of all races and ages instantly connected with the Evans' family. Money was scare, but laughs and love were abundant for Florida (Ester Rolle), her hard-working husband James (John Amos), and their three kids living in the projects of South Side Chicago. From the outrageous antics of budding artist J.J., to the romantic dramas of sister Thelma and pint-sized Michael's activist causes, these parents had their hands full. Adding to the fun was next-door neighbor, sassy divorcee Willona, who would later in the series adopt a young daughter, Penny, played by superstar Janet Jackson! A.  Yes, all of our DVDs are brand new, still sealed, never opened, and never played. These are not copied, burned or Asian DVDs. They are new U.S. release.

Q. Is this DVD region one?

A. Yes, all of our DVDs are region one. This means they are exactly the same as you would buy at any retail store in the country.  Region one means that they are manufactured to play on DVD players in the United States and Canada.

Q. Do you ship to any other country?

A. Yes, Canada and if noted in the auction worldwide.

Q. Do you ship APO/FPO?

A. Yes.

Q. Can I pick up if I live locally?

A. We do not offer local pick up option.

Q. Is it full screen or wide screen?

A. This question is answered in the listing for the item, under "display format", or sometimes under "item description". If there is nothing specified in the listing, this means that it does not specify on the product, and therefore, we will not know.

Q. Have you shipped my item yet?

A. If it has been more than 3 days since payment has cleared, it has shipped.  We often ship same or next day. If your tracking says “does not indicate receipt”, this does not mean that your package has not shipped. USPS will only show when your package is scanned at post offices in route, and when delivered. Bear in mind that if you paid via pending e-check, your shipment will take additional time, sometimes a week or more, as we do not ship until the e-check has cleared

Q. How long is shipping?

A. As stated in our listings, priority shipping is within 2 to 5 business days. USPS quotes shipping time on media mail is 7 to 21 business days. This does not include weekends or holidays, and is just an ESTIMATE.  Please realize that we do not control USPS shipping time. Please do not email us unless it has been 3 weeks since payment cleared, and your package shipped via media mail hasn't arrived. When then cross reference the order and provide the tracking #.

Q. Will you take less for this item?

A. We do not negotiate our prices, or shipping prices. If you do not agree with shipping prices, do not purchase. We offer a great overall price on our merchandise.

Q. Do you combine shipping?

A. Yes, on most single “eligible” items (usually does not include multi sets).  Additional auctions purchased ship for $2.00. Please do not pay for your items until you are finished shopping, or the system cannot combine your items to give you a discount. If you have problems combining, just email us and we'll send you a new invoice

Q. Can I return?

A. We do not offer money back returns.  If there is a problem, such as a defective item, we will have you ship the item back to us, and we'll happily send a new one.  This seldom happens, but the merchandise is sealed, so we would not be aware if there is a problem inside the package.  If there is any problem, just let us know. We will deal with issues on an individual basis.  Please do not leave negative feedback before giving us a chance to correct a situation. We want every buyer to be happy with their purchase.

Q. Can you please send feedback?

A. We leave feedback as soon as you have received your merchandise, the transaction is complete, and we have received positive feedback.

Q. Our tracking number shows the item was delivered, but we have not received it.

A. We cannot be responsible for a shipment if USPS has marked it "delivered".  Insurance is strongly recommended.  This way, you can file a claim with the postal service. We do not file claims for you, but we will provide any additional information needed by USPS.

Q. Can I pay next week?

A. Yes, we allow up to two weeks to receive payment. On the 15^th day, an “unpaid item” will be filed.
