Take a moment and get a look at one of the most fabulous cuckoo clocks we have had the pleasure to offer for auction in some time!!We were lucky to acquire it from a high end private estate in the South of Germany near the Black Forest!This gorgeous cuckoo clock of 24 Inches tall is made of the finest birch wood and has a gorgeous patina.This black forest cuckoo clock dates from the second quarter of the 20th C. (c. 1945).The moment you hear that distinctive call as the cuckoo pops out of the little door in the carved wood, you will be transported back to a time of great clock making.Every half and full hour the clock plays a melody while dancing people turning around. The melody is " Die Muhle in Schwarzwald" ( That Mill in the Black Forest)a very famous song in the Black Forest! While the bird is Coo cooing , there is a chime that sounds in the back ground. This fantastic cuckoo clock has a 30 hours movement,driving by three cast iron weights, and is in fine working order.The clock is carved with leaves,a rabbit,a pheasant, a hunting horn,a hunting bag and on the top a rock goat.The dimensions are: Height: 18 Inches,Width: 11,5 Inches and Depth: 7,5 Inches.This eye catching cuckoo clock is just the thing to bring some high end designer style to your space.Regarding shipping we will pack the clock in a wooden box so you will receive it without any damage.
