I will be offering a variety of  bronze thimbles crafted by Dan Ricco.

If you are a collector these are a must have! The detail is wonderful!

Dan Ricco has been making thimbles since the early 1980's. He make's all of his thimbles using the 'lost wax' casting technique. Bronze is an alloy (mixture) of copper and other materials. The knowledge and use of bronze in making things has been part of civilization for thousands of years. Because of its beauty, durability and workability it has always been the metal of choice for making great works of art. Dan makes thimbles as works or art. And in keeping with tradition, he makes them in bronze.

The first few thimbles were made for working. He decorated some of them with his own intricate patterns. His decorations were attracting alot of interest and discussion. The thimble functionality was always his starting point, but for many collectors it was a secondary consideration.

Each thimble is signed and most have the year he designed it on them. Truly a collector's dream come true!

I can just imagine the tumbleweeds blowing about as this WILD STALLION kicks up the dry desert ground. Hope he doesn't get pricked by those cactus near his feet!

This fantastic Wild Stallion is over 2" tall. What a delightful addition this would make to anyone's collection, or a wonderful mble with USA on the front.
