Here is a gilt brass, Louis XV, French rococo style, bird cage chandelier of approximately 50 years of age. It is gorgeous and in perfect, ready to use condition. All of the elements of this fixture are cast brass, all in a very fine gilt finish. The castings are very detailed, deep and crisp. It is hung with cut edge pendalogues, tear dop and spear prisms with a faceted finial ball. Glittering crystal bead swags add to the opulence of this chandelier. It retains its original chain and ceiling canopy. It has three candle style sockets that will accept candelabra base bulbs of up to 60 watts each (180 watts total). This chandelier has a maximum diameter of 12", is presently 40" in length and can be shortened to 27-28". We will remove the prisms and package them seperately for shipping, we will provide a diagram and instructions to re-attach them. The photos only give a hint of this chandelier's stunning appearance.
