Hard to really “see” in the photographs, due to the curved, reflective surface, this is a very vintage (1920s-40s) good quality, heavy flower or grape centerpiece bowl, meant to have a low floral arrangement (place a flower frog in the center to anchor arrangement) or to have grape clusters spilling over the edge. Beautiful with a few peony heads floating, too. The wide, curved rim is covered with engraved flower-and-leaf sprays. 11” across, and is 2 ¾” deep at the shoulder. It is in excellent, possibly unused condition – there is no rubbing or scratching in the base of the bowl that is inevitable when using with a frog. There is one short, little scratch on the BOTTOM of the base, but not in the bowl. Maude will occasionally leave out something valid - she writes fifty descriptions at one go, and will sometimes miss a measurement or count; she welcomes those questions and is grateful to have it brought to her attention, but wasting her limited free time with questions that have all ready been answered just frosts her cookies. C) Subjective questions such as Is this a Tuscany yellow or more of a Van Gogh sunflower yellow? . Maude has thus far avoided the family predilection for substance abuse, however several of these sort of questions in a row are likely to send Maude straight to the bourbon. Believe me; you won t want her to answer.
Questions about items asked in the last few hours of an auction are unlikely to be seen or answered, so ask early. There is a huge trend of only looking at items that are ending in the next few hours; Maude does this herself, but please do understand that late questions rarely get seen in time.
What else? Some of you will get First Class packages with a small ball of bubble wrap; this is not personal weirdness or voo-doo, but making the mailer thick enough for the Post Office to deem it thick enough to qualify for Delivery Confirmation tracking.

Feedback: Maude leaves it for the buyer after they have left it for her, letting her know that they are pleased, and that the transaction is thus complete. Maude also participates vigorously in the Feedback system, which is a nice way of saying that if you don t pay within the three days, a non-paying-bidder-alert will be filed with Ebay, item re-listed, and final value fee filed for, and the appropriate Feedback left to warn other sellers. Maude is not timid about this; she s running a full-time-plus business and doesn t have time to screw around.
