This is something a little different from yours truly. A fashionable pin up portrait that is fashioned after my love of ukiyo-e painting, zombie films, Japan, blades, graveyards, and vanity. ;)

Please take time to inspect the hamon, menuki, and little monsters parading on the sleeve of the kimono.

While I realize that having the theme of the 'Night of Procession of the Hundred Demons' would certainly not been a traditional theme for a kimono, I took artistic liberty with the kimono design in this particular piece. I hope you enjoy it-- it will definately be a unique and striking piece in your collection!

My name is Jayde Hilliard and I am from central Texas. I was born in 1985 and have just finished my associates in art. I am going to a four year college to work on my bachelors degree. I have created art for most of my life and I intend to make a career out of it (I would like to be an art teacher). Other than drawing and painting, I am learning to play guitar.. I love working at Renaissance Festivals and Haunted houses where I get a great deal of my inspiration. My artwork has been published in Tokyo Pop (way back when it was called Mixxzine), Teen Ink Magazine, and I have won numerous awards at my local county fair, including tri-color for 3 years and high point winner for the past four years in a row. I have designed a new logo for my school and have collaborated with another classmate to paint a mural in the junior high locker room. I also designed a mural for my school's new special events center. Recently I created a painting to be used as a book cover (of the vampire genre, of course!) and create artwork for a cable television show that is currently in the works! I have created covers for Chippewa Publishing LLC and have my work licensed out to various companies that make t-shirts, tiles, magnets, and more!
