Our gourmet raw honey is full of flavor - you will surely enjoy by the spoonful, in your tea, for cooking, in marinades, warmed on brie, drizzled on biscuits, cornbread or toast, whipped with butter, before your workout, add to your bath for a moisture-rich experience, or a spoonful to relieve pollen allergies in our region...
Honey does not spoil, but, because of the natural state in which we sell this honey, the rate of crystallization is roughly 30-60 days in the jar, from our experience, which is much quicker than the storebought blended and heated variety. The crystallized state is perfectly fine (some like it better) for consumption and may be placed in sun or warm water - with the top off!!!! - to return to liquid state, if you desire.
TIP: A great application for crystallized honey is as a facial exfoliant and moisturizer - apply a dab to damp face after cleansing, gently rub in a circular motion then rinse with warm water and pat dry. Honey is a natural humectant which means it attracts and retains moisture & restores your skin's elasticity. Rich in antioxidants, honey will help to protect against the sun's damaging rays and help support the skin's ability to regenerate cells should damage occur. The crystals will gently exfoliate - this experience leaving your skin soft, supple and looking younger!
