Taking about trivia I will tell you one worth writing about. In the early 90s I decided that granita was going to be big in the future so I contacted companies in Italy and got to buy a few machines like the one pictured on this page. As I started marketing them one of the first customers was the prestigious "UT Austin". At the time we were previledged enough to be assisting them on their espresso needs (this was specifically in the student union cafeteria). That is when we got into talking about granita and by showing some experience about it I made a sale. Of course a couple of years later more companies got into it and having received offers of getting a free machine from other companies they sold back the original machine to me that is why I have it. I think any alumini of that school could pride himself or herself of such a treasure.
