Great Scientific Experiments
by Rom Harre

Twenty Experiments that Changed Our View of the World

About this book:
Selected Contents:
  • Aristotle: The Embryology of the Chick
  • Konrad Lorenz: The Conditions of Imprinting
  • Robert Boyle: The Measurement of the Spring of the Air
  • J.J. Gibson: The Mechanism of Perception
  • Isaac Newton: The Nature of Colours
  • Otto Stern: The Wave Aspect of Matter and the Third Quantum Number

Explore the laboratories of the great scientists who formed the fundamental rules of scientific method and the foundational laws of nature that every scientist – and even every nonscientist – uses daily. The author analyzes these 20 experiments in easy language, with illustrations, and organizes them into several-paragraph or several-page sections to make it easy to keep the reader focused.

This paperback is in good condition with minor wear along the edges (some minor water stains) and corners, great spine and binding, and no rippling of the pages. See images for details.
