This is a really great collectible tin wind-up called the "Mechanical Running Dachshund," with original box. As you can see from the images on the side of the box, the dog moves forward after he's wound up, aided by wheels underneath and plush-covered spring in his torso, so that he moves sort of like an inchworm. In great condition. He's brown with blue eyes and a red collar, with a spring for a tail. Dimensions are 4" x 3" x 9." It has a start/stop switch, and the winder in on the bottom. Made in Japan by Daiya.
