You are bidding on a beautiful Mayan carving of Mexican amber from Simojovel, Chiapas, Mexico. It measures 1.1 in X 1.9 in X .6 in and weighs 12 grams. It has a nice green color. Mexican amber is from the Miocene and Oligocene epochs and is 22-26 million years old. Mexican amber like Dominican amber formed from the hymenaea protera tree. This pieces comes from the source. This pendant could be strung up alone to make a beautiful necklace or it could be used with other beads and make a stunning center piece. It does not get much better than this.
