Brief Description of this Tea:
Guang Xi Liu Bao is one of the smoothest, cooked Puerh teacakes we have ever tasted. It is manufactured in a special way unlike most cooked Puerh teas. The entire manufacturing process takes three years from start to finish. This means that this 2005 crop was picked in 2002 and finished in 2005. This is what makes this tea have a unique taste and why we like it so much.

Chinese New Year is especially long. Most government offices like China Post are closed for 5-7 days. In addition, many people that live in the rural areas will celebrate Chinese New year for up to a month. This means that tea and teapot factories also stop working because they hire mostly rural area employees. We normally can only offer in stock items during this time with delays in shipping.

Why drink Puerh?
There are too many good things about Puerh for me to list here. However, I will for sure tell you a few of my favorite things about Puerh. I must first let you know that this is only my personal view and any of the medical things I say are not intended for any type of diagnosis it is only my personal view.
Personally having being overweight for a few years after a lower back accident I have first hand experienced the weight loss benefit of Puerh. Still slightly over my ideal weight, I continue to experience the benefit of Puerh. It is said by traditional Chinese medicine doctors to aid in digestion of food in the stomach. After eating, a meal drinking Puerh can speed the breakdown of the food in your stomach. With fatty foods, this reduces the fat and allows it less time to sit in your stomach and store. In turn with less fat stored the less weight you put on. This has a bad side also if you drink too much Puerh before you eat it will make you hungrier and lead to over eating this of course causes weight gain.
Do you remember the last time you sat down, ate excessively, and felt uncomfortable? Well from my personal experience, if you drink as much Puerh as you can after you eat this will sooth the stomach and make you feel more comfortable (it is digesting that food and making room).
As with all tea, it is said to help you cleanse the body from toxins and impurities. All I can say about this is that since my drinking of Puerh and tea in general I have felt more, alert, internally clean and just an overall healthier person.
Puerh is really a great tea and one should never pass up a chance to try something new!
What is Cooked and Uncooked Puerh?
Puerh tea comes in two major types, cooked and uncooked. Cooked and uncooked is the way of describing the way the tea is processed. Other names for Puerh depending on the processing technique is Raw Puerh (uncooked), Black Puerh (cooked), Green Puerh (uncooked) and Red Puerh (cooked) red and green typically refer to the color of the tea when steeped. Ideally calling the Puerh Cooked and Uncooked is more appropriate because the Chinese words of “Sheng (uncooked)” and “Shu (cooked)” are directly translated to English words of Cooked and uncooked and the manufactures of Puerh use these words to describe Puerh.
Uncooked Puerh is the traditional and older way of manufacturing Puerh. The cooked is a newer idea of manufacturing Puerh. However, both have been around for a long time and the best kind for you depends on your taste.
