In such difficult times, it is really nice to know that at least one of the big designers still has a heart. Gucci paired up with Unicef to create a fabulous Tattoo Print White Limited Edition Line. This line could only be purchased in Gucci boutiques around the world and online. It was not offered in Department Stores. And best of all, 25% of each of these items that Gucci sells goes to Unicef. That is a lot of money when you consider the cost of the bags and accessories.
When I was happily vacationing in Tokyo in December 2008, I had the pleasure of visiting their Flagship store in the Fashionable Ginza District. They had just gotten in many of the items of the White Tattoo line. But the sales person told me these things were also available in the US and I decided to wait.
A couple of days later I decided that waiting might not be such a good idea and I went back to the store and the small accessories and wallets were all sold out. When I headed back to my hotel I was lucky enough to find one still available online. They are now sold out everywhere.
The bags are great but the accessories are really hot!
This listing is for the heart coin purse. It is made of treated white canvas it has a very subtle Gucci logo print on it. The trim is deep red patent leather. There is a heart tattoo print on the fabric.
