Up for sale is a Wonderful Period Signed J.M. Young #460 Plant Stand,
This Plant was made between 1913-1915,
This is one of only 14 sold.
This Info was found on page 95 in the reprint ;J.M.Young Arts and Crafts Furniture by Michael and Jill Clark. Bruce Johnson's book Official Price Guide to Arts & Crafts notes;J.M.Young being Active in late 19th century and early 20th century,
Making A General line of mission furniture with many forms directly related to those of Gustav Stickley and L. & J. G. Stickley. It has been proven that when Gustav Stickley retired his men went to work for J. M. Young and many of Young's pieces are very close to Gus's.
This plant stand is 27.25" Tall and 13" square. The Finish is original and is excellent!!!
There are a few little nicks here and there and a slight worn area where the plant pots would sit, Please see photo's.
he Photo of the plant stand with the plant in it is a L.&J.G. Stickley piece out of the reprint catalog, Look how close it is to a J.M. Young's one.
