~Wishing Stone~

A Hag Stone is a stone where a hole has been created from running water, either by stream or the power of the sea. As running water is said to be insusceptible to Magic, Hag Stones were used as protective Talismans, They were carried on the person, around the neck or wrist as necklaces and bracelets. Traditionally Dorset fishermen used them as charms against Evil spirits, Whilst in Hampshire they were hung in orchards for luck and ripe juicy apples.

To use this stone as a wishing stone simply hold in your left Hand and rub with your thumb in a dosile (clockwise) direction, concentrating on your desired wish

This beautiful Hag Stone with its Warm limestone tones measures approx 1"in length
