HAMILTON MODEL 2974B NAVY COMPARING WATCH

Up for auction is a Hamilton model 2974B, 16 size, 17J, adjusted to 3 positions, stem wind, stem set with hack feature ( pull the stem out and the watch stops push it back in and the watch starts), 2974B is marked on the movement, serial # 2K10295, it is running and keeping time. The movement is housed in a base metal case with a snap on dust cover, screw front bezel, and screw on back cover, both covers screw on and off with ease. The back cover has the military markings stamped on it, Bureau Of Ships U.S. NAVY Comparing Watch, N with a circle around it, 12411 1943. There is a small amount of brass showing on the bow.  It has a plastic crystal that is free of chips and scratches. The watch has a matching set of baton hands that are free of rust. The dial is a single sunk white porcelain with large black Arabic numbers, not chips or cracks, has Hamilton in block letters on it. A very nice Hamilton Navy comparing watch.
