This is a beatiful enamel cloissone butterfly pendant made all by hand. Pendant is double sided.
Cloissone is an antique Chinese art with over 600 years. The making process is very complicated. The design you see on cloissone beads is hand inlayed with thin copper wire to layout the designs. Then fill in the colors by hand within the copper inlayed area. Fire in high temperature after the coloring process. Then repeat the coloring & firing steps 3-4 times. Polish the surface after that & finish with electro gold plating. Every single step is done with hand by skilled workers.
