HANK GREENBERG High School Yearbook

This is a rare opportunity (and the word rare is respected here!) to  acquire the James Monroe High School yearbook picturing the great Hank 
Greenberg as a graduating Senior with his posed individual head photo 
(pix 1).  The condition of the book is highly collectible with NO major defects.  There is NOTHING marking his photo.  The book was  obviously kept carefully by its original owner.  There are signings, including 3 on his senior page, none of which intrude in any way onto or near his photo.  The cover exhibits strong wear at the corners and the top and bottom of the spine (pix 3), however, remains quite attractive.  The pages show some mild edge toning.  The only defect to mention is that the front endpaper and first page together have allowed the glue-backed binding to show through (pix 4).  There is another photo (pix 2) which is NOT from the yearbook,  but rather an early photo of him shortly after he turned pro.  A copy of this book signed as "Hy Greenberg" at his Senior photo was not only  in the Barry Halper collection, but is also in the Seth Poppel Yearbook Library.  This may be your only chance to get a copy of this book, as it is pre-depression, pre-WWII and an "odd" graduating class.  We will not say anything about Hank Greenberg because those who would be interested in this book, already know everything there is to know and probably own some memorabilia related to him, albeit NOT this book ! !
