THIS IS A 6" HARDWOOD RING CLAMP WITH WEDGE.  IT IS GREAT FOR HOLDING RINGS WHILE SETTING OR HOLDING ANYTHING METAL WHILE SANDING.  I PREFER WOOD TO PLASTIC AS IT HAS BETTER HOLDING CAPACITY, PLUS IT HAS LEATHER PROTECTORS ON TIPS SO IT DOESN'T MAR YOUR METAL.

I ALSO PREFER THE WEDGE TO SCREW TYPES.  FOR ONE THE SCREW CAN BECOME STRIPPED AND TWO YOU JUST INSERT YOUR PIECE ON ONE END, ADD THE WEDGE AND IT AUTOMATICALLY ADJUSTS.  YOU WON'T FEEL LIKE YOU NEED A THIRD HAND.
