Please note: this is only one of the
200,000+ back issues that we list on eBay each day! While we are also continually listing a very large number of special auctions each week, the preponderance of our 200,000 daily listings are available
only via our eBay store. That's because most of our listings in our eBay store are priced at well under $3 per item, which is too inexpensive to justify an individual auction. Because of the lower listing cost in eBay stores, however, we can offer you thousands of items in our wonderful store at prices as low as 75 cents each! Please enjoy shopping through the single largest selection of comics available from any one vendor, on all of eBay!
The other great news about our eBay store is that you can not only shop
through a huge selection of older issues at extremely low prices, but
that you can also combine an unlimited number of issues in a single
order for only $2.95 shipping in the USA, and $11.00 shipping for
unlimited International orders. While the same combining of items
together at a single shipping cost is also true for our auctions (the
more auctions you win, the more you save in combined shipping!), the
higher listing fees for auctions (and the extremely low starting
bids...) require us to charge a flat $4.60 shipping for domestic auction
shipments, and $11.00 for International auction shipments. If you want
insurance for your order, just let us know, and we'll charge you only
the exact cost of that service.
A couple more notes about how we run our business. First, you need to be
aware that the cover photo of the item shown in this auction is strictly
for references purposes, and is not a scan of the actual
item. We sell well over one million back issues a year, and thus have a
huge library of past scans that we utilize to illustrate the books that
we are selling. Were we to try and scan again every single item that we
are listing on eBay each day, we'd simply go broke. While the cover scan
we provide gives you only a representation of what your book should look
like, below we have listed a very detailed written
description of our grading standards for this particular book. If for
any reason you are dissatisfied with the grading on any issue we send
you, just e-mail us, and we'll arrange for a full refund and/or a
replacement. Our goal is to make you happy, so if you think there's any
sort of a problem, just let us know and we'll do our best to bring a
smile back to your face.
The second issue of which you need to be aware is that this item was in stock at the time of listing. If it is out of stock at the time of sale, I will guarantee that it will be shipped to you within 30 days or you will receive a full refund for that item. While that may sound ridiculous at first glance, the reality is that our
auctions are created by uploads from our master database, and sometimes
the inventory data in our computer is simply wrong. When we are entering
into inventory over 30,000 back issues per week, manual entry errors are
sometimes made (such as #7 being entered, when the item is actually
#70). Our policy in those rare instances when an out-of-stock occurs
(less than 1 out of 1,000 issues ordered) is to either upgrade you to
the same issue in a higher grade for free, or to refund 100 % of your
money. In addition, if we completely out-of-stock an item that you've
ordered we'll also provide you with a bonus credit memo
for the entire cost of the item which was out-of-stock (with a minimum
credit issued to you of $5) which you can utilize to purchase any other
item in our eBay store. We'll also provide you with completely free
shipping on that credit memo order, so you are not out of pocket one
cent as a result of our error. Quite frankly, there's no way that we can
keep an inventory system as huge as ours perfect at all times, but we
can make darn sure that we compensate you for your
inconvenience, if you are one of the unfortunate few who doesn't get the
book that they ordered.
The third important fact that you need to know about Mile High Comics is
that we're closed on the weekends, and on most major holidays. We ship
all eBay orders Monday-Friday, and with the exception of orders arriving
on Friday, we generally ship eBay orders within 48 hours. If at any time
you have a question about your order you can reach us toll-free at
1-800-676-6423, between the hours of 8 AM - 5 PM, Mountain Time Zone.
International callers, who cannot use the toll free number, are welcome
to call us on our standard business line at 303-455-2659. Please be
aware, however, that most of our eBay team members are kept quite busy
keeping shipments flowing out the door, so please only call if you have
a significant customer service difficulty.
My final item regards PayPal. While PayPal is a fantastic system for
micropayments, and operates well 99% of the time, they, too, sometimes
make mistakes. If you look at our feedback rating you'll see that we
have over 13,600 unique positive feedbacks, with over 96,000 positive
feedbacks in total, as compared to only 298 negatives. While some of
those negatives were well deserved because we accidentally screwed
something up, the ones that really irk us resulted from when someone
became extremely peeved with us because they had paid us via PayPal, and
we didn't ship their order. The reason this happens is because PayPal's
system isn't 100% perfect, and sometimes they simply fail to tell us
that a buyer made payment. Then we end up looking bad, when we actually
had no way of knowing that the payment had been made. All that we ask is
that if your order hasn't been shipped for any reason, please contact us
first, before posting a negative. Without wanting to sound redundant,
our entire goal in this endeavor is to make you happy!
In closing, I want to brag a little. Mile High Comics has been in
business for over 37 years under my personal ownership. During those
many decades that we've been in the business our team of seasoned
professionals been chosen to ship over one hundred million
dollars in back issue comics and magazines, to satisfied
collectors all around the world. There's simply no way that we would
have received anywhere near that much business if we hadn't always
maintained the highest standards of professionalism, and excellent
customer service. If you've never done business with us before, please
bid on a few of our auctions, or try finding some books you need in our
eBay store. If you place a first time order with us I will
personally guarantee that you'll be extremely pleased that
you gave us a chance to help you with your collection.
Happy collecting!
