Up for grabs is this now scarcely found copy of the U.S Collector's edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Book 1 in the series.
Long out of print, it is one of the most sought after by collectors of deluxe pressings. To put the scarcity of this edition into perspective, an edition of 2000 is only 100 per state!
If you collect rare Harry Potter editions, or would like to buy a phenomenally nice gift for that special someone, look no further.
Original copies, as this is, are bound in rich supple green leather, have gilt (gold) edges with gilt lettering and embellishments to the front, spine and back. A clear dust jacket is provided both to protect the leather and still allow you to see the gorgeous book underneath. There is a picture of this shown below in the detailed physical description.
 As a special add, there is a special print included NOT found in the standard edition, shown right. Each copy also has a facsimile of Rowling's signature under the picture...
To say that this book is anything but remarkable is an understatement and is a Harry Potter collectors must have! If you can afford it, don't pass this up as there is no telling when you will see another come along!
Since there was only one printing of this edition, it is a first printing with supporting numberline.
A NOTE ABOUT DELUXE EDITIONS: Leatherbound copies of Harry Potter books were only printed in the USA and only for books 1 and 2. (I also have a copy of The Chamber of Secrets available as of this writing!) As far as I know, there were NO deluxe printings in the US for books 3 and 4, however there were Deluxe Slipcased Editions for books 5-7, each with a different dust jacket that is frameable as artwork. (I have some of those too!) Although not leather, there were Deluxe Editions printed in the UK with special covers and I have ALL of those available. Use the links below to see them. I have been collecting books and music for over 35 years and have amassed an enormous collection with many duplicates. I do not subscribe to "grading" as it is so subjective and most of the "graders" truly have no clue! Therefore I'll simply describe things in normal English!

If you want it shipped to an alternate location, you will need to register that address BEFORE paying or it will be shipped to the registered address.Shipping costs will be determined by weight & destination. The least expensive is shown above, but you may click on the SHIPPING & PAYMENT tab found at the top of the page, just under the item's picture for all shipping options to all destinations both domestic and international. There you will find drop down boxes for your location and you can then use the shipping calculator to determine the correct cost for where you live.
Media Mail (once known as 4th class mail) is a special class of postage for books, music, videos and other printed media available within the US and territories. It is far less expensive than Priority Mail, but - it ..... is ........... slooowwwww!!!! Despite USPS claims of 3-9 day delivery times, MEDIA MAIL CAN actually TAKE UP TO 3 WEEKS to arrive, and their tracking info is frequently not updated until it actually arrives, making that feature pretty useless! PLEASE remember this when you leave feedback scores as the choice is yours and not my fault if it takes a long time to get there! If you want it in a week or less, you are going to have to bite the bullet and pay for Priority Mail which will get it there in 2-3 working days, 99% of the time, but it is more expensive. Basically, the choice is yours, but if you choose media mail, please don't write to me in 5 days asking where your package is, because the post office will have it and most of the time, they don't have a clue! International deliveries all go by Priority Mail and usually arrive within 1-2 weeks.
