The artist Headley Thompson has devoted his artistic energy to understanding the intricate connection between art, history and the nation’s rich heritage. Thompson spends his time creating paintings in his secluded abode in the Blue Mountains of native Jamaica. From that place he sees things from ‘above’, offering the art lovers a detached view of life. His subjects evoke recollections of the Caribbean past and a better understanding of the permeating influence of that past on every facet of present-day life. Thompson depicts with great care and nuance his visions thus achieving the goal of his art- realization at the deepest level of the truth about Caribbean life.  Headley Thompson is an artist looking for diverse mediums to reach his audience.  Thompson’s unique way of blending techniques has put his art in galleries and exquisite private collections.
