In the steam-era, every loco had to be turned for its next run. While large turntables over 120' long could handle the huge mainline steam engines like 2-8-8-2s, 4-6-6-4s and 4-8-8-4s, most terminals catered only to smaller locos like 4-6-2s, 2-8-0s and 2-8-2s. For these facilities, a 90' turntable was sufficient. For main line locomotives you need this one the 130 footer for the heavy steam locomotives.
The Modern 130' Turntable is a fully assembled unit capable of handling locomotives as large as a Big Boy. A sturdy one-piece plastic pit that's preweathered, and a detailed plastic bridge with separate arch are all included. Programmable indexing for as many as 60 different positions lets you install tracks almost anywhere you need them. And complete installation and programming instructions make setup fast and easy on DC- or DCC-equipped layouts..
Because of their size, many of these turntables are still used to turn diesels, so this model will look at home on your steam- or diesel-era layout.

- LOCOMOTIVE SPECIAL CONDITIONS: This unit has an odometer and an hour meter on it for return both the odometer and the hour meter must read zero.
- For MTH items If the unit is run then normal factory warranty would apply and MTH would directly handle any warranty issues.
- On New power units Factory Warrantees apply and are handled directly by the manufacturer under the terms of their warranty agreement.
SHIPPING: SHIPPING is done Monday thru Friday normally within 1 day of receiving payment. Sometime a delay does occur due to weather or the commercial carriers we use to deliver the packages. All customers receive an email notifying they of the scheduled delivery date at the time of shipping along with the tracking number of the package.
FREE SHIPPING: FREE SHIPPING ONLY applies to packages shipped domestically within the continental United States. Shipping outside the 48 states pay quoted shipping costs.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: INTERNATIONAL customers pay quoted shipping cost based on the service class desired and the Destination. International, Canadian, Australian, German, Japanese and United Kingdom Buyers MUST pay by Paypal and MUST Provide a Telephone Number for the customs form.
