The2FunAdGuyz offer a new, 11x17 inches, high-quality reproduction, print of a very remarkable World War II Navy Battleship combat photograph taken during the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7, 1941. A photographer of the United States Navy documented the horrific nature of the attack and documented of the incredible acts of heroism performed that day. The U.S.S. West Virginia is the large ship engulfed in smoke and flames following the attack. In the foreground, the crew of a small boat is rescuing a seaman. The U.S.S. Tennessee is inboard. Of special interest are the two men in the superstructure. HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE: The U.S.S. West Virginia, while severely damaged, did survive and was returned to a continental United States port where she was completely modernized and returned to service in 1944. The U.S.S. TENNESSEE was temporarily repaired allowing her to also return to a continental United States port where she was fully repaired within two months. She returned to service in the Pacific where she distinguished herself in numerous naval operations. CAPTION: Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941 .
