The2FunAdGuyz offer a new, high-quality reproduction print of a stunning 1957 modern-art US Navy Recruitment poster by celebrated modern cubist artist, Joseph Binder. In a single image, the sight of a (then) modern, gigantic aircraft carrier overwhelming the viewer, Binder served notice that the future of the navy had arrived. Looking at the bow of this massive carrier and the fighter jets streaming overhead, a potential recruit had to feel that this was a viable career for any young person. Binder used bold images to create a dazzling impression of technology and power. This was a significant movement away from the traditional patriotic posters of past recruitment posters. ARTIST: Joseph Binder, (1898-1972) is a Viennese-born painter and poster artist.
