TINDERS THAT WORK IN FIRE PISTONS

A reliable fire piston will produce coals from a large variety of tinder. Darrel and I have studied the different types of tinder and have compiled the biggest list of tinder that work over a very wide range of climates and environments that can be used in your fire piston. I know that, like myself, you will want to know all the possible types of tinder that can by used in your fire piston that you can find in your climate and their reliability compared to the other tinder.
