Shanon created this unique and beautiful design by laying horse hair on the pottery before she fired it. She got the horse hair by simply brushing a horse, no horse was harmed in the process. Shanon etched Navajo, her name on the bottom of the piece.
After the pottery is fired etches Pauline her beautiful Navajo designs in the pottery. All these ancient designs she uses have a significant meanings like good luck, rain. It takes Shanon many hours and a great skill to create such a beautiful and unique piece of pottery. She added a little turquoise and rooster feather as accent, turquoise is used in the Navajo tradition since centuries as jewelry and for power and strength. Every single piece of her pottery is one of a kind. This craft skill is handed down since generations in Shanon's family.
