I sold this unit last month and am relisting it due to the winning bidder's failure to pay. It is boxed and ready for pickup by UPS Ground. Note that I will refund part of the shipping fee based on actual shipping cost. PayPal payment is required within 4 days after auction close.
I bought this unit in an eBay auction and fixed several problems (bad analog power supply, four bad input attenuators, bad color CRT purity). It is now in good physical and operating condition. I also replaced the processor board with one having an earlier firmware date (3/10/88) and performed a full calibration. The screen picture shows a pulse pattern, the same pattern delayed by a 4-foot cable, the sum of the two inputs, and the integral of the first input. For power connection the unit requires a standard IEC line cord (not included). A cord with right-angle socket is preferable because it allows the unit to be positioned vertically, sitting on its rear feet.
Here are the answers for this unit to three questions you should have the seller answer before bidding on a 54111D:
#1 Does the unit have a serial number prefix of 2808A or higher? YES
#2 Does the unit have a firmware date of 3/10/88 or later? YES
#3 Does the unit have a firmware date of 10/10/88 or later? NO
If the answer to #1 is YES, the rear panel TIMEBASE CAL output can be used as a signal source for the front panel timebase channel skew alignment; if NO, a separate high-speed pulse generator is needed for the skew alignment. If the answer to #2 is YES, the unit has the full complement of waveform math functions; if NO, the unit has a limited subset (sum, difference, invert) of math functions. If the answer to #3 is YES, the unit has the added commands needed to use the 54114A 2GS/sec test set accessory; if NO, the unit does not support use of the 54114A.
The listed shipping cost is an estimated maximum. The difference between this and the actual cost by UPS Ground (plus $10 packing charge) will be refunded to the buyer. Sales tax (8%) will be added for California buyers.
You may return the unit within 14 days at your expense for a refund of the sale price minus auction fee. If the unit is damaged in shipment due to inadequate packing, the cost to repair will be deducted from the refund.
