The HP 83480A digital communications analyzer is a powerful and versatile instrument for characterizing high-speed digital communications waveforms. It is a modular platform that accepts up to two plug-in modules. Integrated optical channels include calibrated reference receivers for 155, 622, 1063, 1250, 2488, and 9953 Mbit/s SDH/SONET, Fibre Channel, or Gbit Ethernet transmitter test.
Electrical channels have up to 50 GHz bandwidths. TDR and TDT modules are available for optimization of circuit board transmission lines.
