HP Wide Format Plotter

Up for auction is a HP Designjet 350C 36" Wide Format Color Inkjet Plotter Model C4700A in decent used cosmetic condition.  The outside case of the plotter has only minor damage caused by normal wear and tear.  The cover seems to be in excellent shape and shows no signs of visible damage on it.  The stand is missing its main support bracket which caused one of the wheel section to buckle as we were moving it.  We tried straightening out the section but the weight of the plotter would keep causing the left side to fall / slide over.  If desired, the buyer could remove the wheels from the unit which would solve this problem.  Please refer to the provided pictures for details.

We were able to power on the unit but were unable to print a test page.  The belt that drives the carriage has been severed and therefore will not pull the ink cartridges around the face of the plotter.  After the unit turned on and ran its initial tests, the unit gave a generic error message thereby locking up the controls / system.  We were unable to determine what this error message is without having the belt for the carriage.  We moved the cartridges around by hand and checked to make sure that all of the movable parts were still capable of moving, which they did smoothly.  We then checked to make sure that all of the major components in the system were still present, which, from what we can tell, they were.  Overall, other than the belt, the unit appears to be in good condition .  A replacement belt needs to be purchased elsewhere before proper use can occur.  This unit comes with all (4) of its color print cartridges, however, the remaining life of those cartridges could not be determined and therefore are not guaranteed with the purchase. 

This particular model has power requirements of 100/240 volts, 2/1 amps, and basic 50/60 Hz with a power consumption of 70 watts.  Included in this purchase is a detachable 3-prong NEMA 5/15 power cord.  The plotter connects to a computer via a standard parallel port (cord not included).  Other than powering on the unit and checking it over for cosmetic damage, no further testing was done to the item.  Due to our inability to fully test the unit, we must sell this unit as is and as described for parts and repair.
